Introducing Kyle & Enzelle. Kyle is a depressed 17 year old. He’s had his special ability for a few years, and rather than learning to benefit from it, he instead uses it to fuel his self-loathing. He’s a homeschooler who travels with his family. His dad is an archaeologist. Enzelle is just the opposite. She is feisty, spunky, and is along for the ride, whether she likes it or not. I daren’t say more for the sake of spoilers, but suffice to say, I think she’s about as original a character as Joe. She’s a second year college student majoring in Chemistry. She’s largely going to play the comic relief. She goes by “Enz.” Sketched with a No. 2 pencil, and inked with a Pilot G2 in a hurry.

Joe is, of course, our star. His girlfriend is named Kate. These were a couple of random sketches a did today while suffering from boredom, so they’re quick and not-to-scale. Kate is petite, but not half Joe’s size ;-)

Sketched with a No. 2 pencil, and inked with a Pilot G2 in a hurry.

Just an early idea for Joe’s look. I decided I didn’t care for the hair. I guess we’ll see how I like his current look.
